Pour les amateurs de danse, la dernière séance mensuelle de l'association Figures de danses aura lieu DIMANCHE 11 Juin , dans les locaux de l'Office Culturel de Ploërmel, Ave de Guibourg (rte de Guillac) de 14h 30 à 17h30. Au programme: scottishes, polkas , mazurkas et valses à figures, avec Agnès le Jallé, et contredanses anglaises avec Julian Weaver.

Mike James, originally from Swansea, Wales, now resident in Ploërmel, Brittany, (France), is a musician, dance animator/ caller (in English and French), melodeon, guitar and music teacher, writer and translator. He appears as a solo musician/ singer, with bands Twm Twp, Mike James & Yves Le Blanc, Jacal, Hiraez, Billy Moon, and Salt of the Earth. For more than twenty years, Mike, talented diatonic accordeon player and singer, has put all his enthusiasm and good humour at the service of Breton music and dance, in festou-noz and through teaching the accordeon, as well as his activities in Welsh and Irish music and song. Winner of prestigious awards in 'Gallo' song competitions, he has been able to make this region, rich in traditions, his adoptive home.
